22 days to go

and I think I am nearly ready for bump!! Just today I have finished off the room well 95%, everything we need has been bought, washed and a home found for etc and my hospital bag is nearly ready. Same may say over ready but hey I can sit back and enjoy the rest of my time now.

We are still going to birthing classes, which are great. No real set agenda so we get to talk and do what we as a class want. We discussed forms of pain relief such as gas and air, pethadine and having an epidural this week. I have decided to try it naturally no pain relief at first but then we will see what happens. We also practiced pushing the baby out this week which was quite interesting. Our midwife describes it as taking a deep breath and pushing down like you are doing a big "poo". She says I push well, not sure how she tells but hopefully it will be handy when time to give birth. We also went on a tour of the hospital and met a 2 day old baby which made it all so amazing, seeing where it all happens and the beautiful result you get. Yep I am ready to bring this bump into the world.

I have some more pics of the tummy and the room being finished but I have not downloaded them from the camera so as soon as I do will post them.

For now, good night and chat soon,

Birthing classes

We started birthing classes last Thursday and now have them each week for the next 4 weeks. Wow, so glad we are going as I found there were many things I did not know.
The people are really friendly and it was nice to be in a group of people all going through similar experiences.

One question they asked us was "What has been your favouite moment and your least favorite moment of being pregnant" Not as easy as you think but this is what Del and I had to say....

Deb - Fav being the movement as it feels like bump is talking to me and least fav having to go to the loo every 1 hour especially at night.
Del - Fav being seeing bump for the first time on our first ultrasound and least fav having to listen to me snore at night!!

Have done a little more in the room now putting up some shelves and picture frames so nearly there.

I have added a couple of pics of my tummy which I took on the train on the way back from Brugge.

Till the next time, good night, sweet dreams

35 days to go....

I'm not very good at blogging, I thought now that I have finished work (yay!!!!) I would have all this spare time on my hands and would write all the time but how fast the days go.

Have been busy trying to finish of bits and pieces in the room and slowly it is all coming together. We have themed the room Winnie the Pooh classic style as the colours are neutral as we don't know if we are having a boy or a girl... Del's guessing boy and I'm guessing girl. I know what ever they are they are going to be active or sporty as I am feeling non stop movement and lots of kicking going on. It's quite cool as all my friends and Del can see and feel as well now which makes it so much more exciting.

Well I will leave you with some pics of our handy work in the bumps bedroom.

Take care
