Baby Scream

Finally made it to baby scream today and it really does live up to its name. We met Nickie and Eladie and Sonu and Simi out side the cinema at 3pm and then fought our way in through all the prams to our seats.

The cinema is has about 30 arm chair soft seats with stools and 15 soft seats. We watch Marie Antoinette. Was quite good but was hard to watch at times with babies crying everywhere.

Josh was quite good managed to get him to sleep for about half the movie. Over all it was good but only would go back if there was something I really wanted to see.

Good Night

Bath time

Bath time is one of Josh's favourite times. Unlike most babies who relax and go to bed after bath, Josh comes alive. He loves playing with his ducks and splashing his legs. He usually manages to pull out the pluge well.

A couple of weeks ago we went to visit some friends and as they don't have a baby bath Josh had his first big bath with me on the first night and then by himself after that. He loved it as there was so much room to splash around in.

The photo of him bathing above was from when we went on the Norway cruise. They had no bath and the basin was so big we bathed him in that. Fun for all.

Next week he will be graduating to big bath all the time as his babies bath is getting to small.

Bye for now

Sleepless in Notting Hill again

Agh I thought Joshua had out grown this waking up all night stage but boy was I wrong. He just never seems to want to sleep at night. A few weeks ago whilst visiting friends he would not sleep, just kept crying to we picked him up and then would sleep in my arms but that was it. We thought maybe he is away from his cot so we let it go but NO! When we got back home he continued to do this.
Last Saturday night I slept for no longer than one hour at a time due to him sleeping then crying.......I was really at my wits end. We have tried everything we know and have been told. Eventually we tried a pillow under the mattress and low and behold the next night he slept for 3 hours, had a feed then 3 hours again....Then the next night a whopping 7 hours straight, then 5 hours next night and then 6 last night although the tantrums were there last night.
Please if anyone is reading this and has any suggestions feel free to comment!!!!

Well fingers crossed he keeps this 6 or 7 hour thing going I can cope with that. Josh is still in our room but as soon as we get back from Oz he is going into his own room...That should be fun!!

Anyway he is napping now so better go do a few bits and pieces.

Weaning

I have been weaning Joshua now for about 2 months. We started of slowly just after he turned 4 and half months with cubes of Apple and pear once a day and he is now onto 3 meals a day.

We start the morning of with a couple of cubes of fruit puree, followed by about 4 cubes of veg for lunch and then baby rice and 2 cubes of fruit for dinner.

It has been lots of fun trying out different tastes for Joshua and we are still introducing new flavours. So far we have had pear, apple, banana, mango, carrot, sweet potato, zucchini, cauliflower, peas and avacardo as well as trying many different flavours in a jar. He is not real keen on peas or avacardo but loves apple and pear.

We have bought Josh a booster seat and he sits at the table and has his meals with us. We have a few more veg and fruit to try and then in 2 weeks time we move on to some real food like chicken casserole....mmmmmmmm

I have attached a few pics of feeding time. He looks quite cute in his seat and we manage to have food almost all over him, me and his seat most times but its all fun....

A few pics of our little man

Josh is good although he has been a little bit sick this past week with a cold and runny nose. He has also been a bit naughty at night and wont go to sleep but hopefully it's because he is not well and when he gets better his sleeping will to....
