It's a boy!!!

What can I say! We're ecstatic! Well, I am anyway, Deb is just tired!

Baby Joshua was born this morning at 10.51am. He weighed in at a massive 5.08kg (11lbs 4 ounces), has a full head of hair and big, wrinkly feet!

He was born by C-section after they discovered that he was breached.

He took to his mum's breast straight away too! Definitely a rugby player of the future!

Oh yes, he doesn't fit into his 0 to 3 month old baby clothes.

Thanks to all the well-wishers and all the staff at St. Mary's Hospital who took such great care of all 3 of us!

More pics to follow.

3 Days overdue!

Well, after sitting in the hospital for the last 5 1/2 hours, I needed some fresh air. The news is, there's no news!

We went to the clinic this morning and the doctor recommended that Deb be induced today because of her high blood pressure and headaches, so we came to the hospital. At the hospital, they took blood samples and regular blood pressure readings. All they can tell us is that her blood pressure is high and that they are waiting for a doctor to make a decision.

So, at the moment we are excited, bored, impatient and a little nervous although I'm sure that Deb would say that she is pretty damn scared!!

Chat soon,

Tomorrow!!!

Well the due date is tomorrow but we really thought it was all happening last night. We walked up to the Mitre (one of our favorite restaurants) for dinner and by the time we got there I thought we were starting to get labour pains. (10 min walk up hill). Had dinner and all and tried to forget about pain.

We did not tempt walking back, got a cab, and upstairs to watch TV. The pains became worse and we both really thought it was time. We were madly making sure we were organised, and doing lots of breathing in between. About 1am we decided to go to bed and see what happens.

So as you can proberly guess no baby yet! I think I will go for a nice hot shower now and then a long stroll. Hopefully tomorrow we will be reporting that we have had a nice healthy baby.

Until then......

6 days and counting....

Oh my how large is my tummy!! This pic was taken about two weeks ago and we are even a little larger now. I can't believe we are now so close. I must say though i am over being pregnant. I just want our little bubba to come and join us in this world.
Being pregnant has been so amazing, especially since bub has started to move around. I feel like i can communicate with them at times. Bub also really enjoys listening to music which is cool at night all three of us lying in bed and listening to my Ipod.

Have been trying to take it a bit easy this week as had high blood pressure last week at check up and a slight trace of protein in my urine as well as largly swollen feet. Feel ok though but being so close just want everything right.

Well on that note am off to elevate my ankles and watch tv.

Cheers

The nursery

Well, now it's almost done. I've just got to get off my lazy butt and finish the border around the room and finish off the curtains!

Only 10 days left...

(If the walls look a little curved, it's not 'cos you had too much to drink last night. It's 'cos I stitched 5 photos together!)
